Events / Automated PvP Event Rules
October 29, 2019, 03:52:31 am
Hello all and welcome to Swordsman Reborn.

I have been made aware that some do not know the rules for the PvP Events that are hosted Automatically via our website.

A few things you will need to remember are the following;

1. Any PvP Events that are done in game via the website and are automated have a limit cap, which can be seen on the Events Page > Events.
2. So, if you are level 90 and want to take part in an Event for example, you will need to make sure you join the level 76-90 Event so that you get the rewards.
3. If you join an Event for let's say 51-75 and are level 76, you will not get any points and are liable to getting a warning for making the event less enjoyable for others.
4. If you find someone in an Event that is under, or over their level then you are required to let a Moderator or the GM know as soon as possible as this is an obstruction to the Event taking place.

Any questions about the Automated PvP Events can be asked on the Discord server or via this thread.

Have fun and see you in game!

Guides / Star Soul Attributes
August 16, 2018, 05:47:01 pm

This new system that is unlocked at level 160 is something that not many people know about, but do not fear, I am here to give a little light on what it is, how long it might take to farm for a certain amount of attribute points (Star Souls) and what each one gives...

So first off, what are the attributes that you can boost:

And now the stat Max Increases:

Now that we have that out of the way, let's see what the increases are per Attribute Point for each Stat shall we:

Now that I have showed those, what does each point cost in Star Souls and how much does each spent point actually give?

Here's a list of that, which shows each "Tier" for the Attribute as well as the cost increases.

Green = Mobs Needed with average gain of 22 Star Souls per kill.
Red = Total Star Soul needed for all Star Soul Attribute points.
All is the total amount needed for all "Tier" points.

[[[P.s: Each Attribute point will cost you 10,000 Star Souls!]]]

Now you might be thinking "I can do that, it doesn't seem too difficult to kill a few hundred thousand monsters. Might be a weeks work." Well, let me give you some good and bad news. If you are willing to spend a week farming for Star Souls, I recommend that you kill the Star Soul Witches as they have around 70k less Health than the others, making them harder to kill. And, they yield the same Star Souls per kill. That was the good news.

Now the bad news.

Here is a list of the success rates per "Tier" of each level.

All that information is just taken from reading in game as well as checking in the files. Please do let me know if I made a mistake in the comments or just shoot me a direct message on the Discord. I hope this was somewhat informative on what the Star Soul system is all about.

Thanks for taking the time to read and see you in game!!

Guides / Guide to Farming Honour
July 08, 2018, 10:19:01 pm
This guide goes together with the other guide I have posted about Farming Efficiently and how to make the most out of your bag space as well as time spent in game.

So let's get started.

First of all, we all need to know how much honour each item will give you which can be found at any of your Faction Heralds. Mine happens to be the Jadeon Herald Bao the Wise in Sunstream. Who can then tell you which Provisions give you which amount of Honour.

A full list is here;

  • LV2 Provisions provide 5 Honour points

  • LV3 Provisions provide 11 Honour points

  • LV4 Provisions provide 18 Honour points

  • LV5 Provisions provide 22 Honour points

  • LV6 Provisions provide 28 Honour points

  • LV7 Provisions provide 34 Honour points

  • LV8 Provisions provide 40 Honour points

  • LV9 Provisions provide 45 Honour points

  • LV10 Provisions provide 52 Honour points

  • As well as Merit Incense provides a total of 200 Honour points.

So what are the specific Grade Provisions you can farm through your journey? Let's have a look at each Grade.

Grade 2 can be found on monsters ranging from level 15 to 30:

Clearwater Jasper | Scarla Wood | Burry Herb | Harden Ore

Grade 3 can be found on monsters ranging from level 30 to 45:

Glittera Jade | Iron Wood | Snakebite Herb | Iron Ore

Grade 4 can be found on monsters ranging from level 45 to 60:

Greewond Jasper | Yellaflora Wood | Vilreflecta Herb | Copper Ore

Grade 5 can be found on monsters ranging from level 75 to 90:

Opal Jade | Stareaching Wood | Dreamcasting Herb | Silver Ore

Grade 6 can be found on monsters ranging from level 75 - 90 (yes, that is correct):

Green Jasper | Everlasting Herb | Longevity Wood | Gold Ore

Grade 7 can be found on monsters ranging from level 90 to 105:

Aurea Jasper | Celeon Wood | Dragonwhisker Herb | Redsilver Ore

Grade 8 can be found on monsters ranging from level 105 to 120:

Celepalace Jade | Fusang Wood | Nine-Ear Grain | Blackgold Ore

Grade 9 can be found on monsters ranging from level 120 to 135:

Impera Jasper | Magnagrain Stem | Celepool Lotus | Rarity Iron

And finally, Grade 10 which can be found on all monsters above level 135:

Heavenshroud Jade | Frenzfume Wood | Soulsnatcher Herb | Felord Red Gold

Now that we all know where we can find our provisions let's see what we need for the Honour to get our Insignia (if that is what you are going for of course!!)
The best way to do this calculation is this way;

5000000/gradeGrant=amount needed

So, based off of the fact that you would most likely start doing this at level 135+ you'd do it this way:

5000000/52=96154 Provisions needed

And at a bag space of max 252 and a stack size of 50, that would come to 1924 stacks or, 8 full bags of provisions providing you have maxed out your bag already. This is not counting the 144 max slots from your pet.

So to come to an end of this whole guide, I'd like to make sure that everyone is clear on what I am meaning to say. Farming your provisions for either gold and/or honour is entirely doable. You just have to have the willpower and wanting to stay online all day and night.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and I hope it was helpful. Take care and see you in game!

Guides / Status Effects
July 07, 2018, 11:53:02 pm
What are Status Effects?
Well, status effects are like curses on your character. Each one has a different use and can either inflict damage, cause you to stand still or other things. Here is a list of all the Status Effects in case anyone was wondering what they are. Also, attached is some information about them.

Main Status Effects:
There are five main status effects: Stun, Weaken, Silence, Sleep, and Paralyze. All five of these skills work off of the Resistance system, and if you press "C" to open your Character Stats summary, you can see the five Resistances in the upper right.

  • Stun: Prevents movement, attacks, and skills.

  • Weaken: Reduces Attack Power by a percentage, usually around 10%.

  • Silence: Prevents the use of skills.

  • Sleep: Prevents movement, attacks, and skills, but is removed if the sleeping target is attacked.

  • Paralyze: Prevents movement, but the paralyzed target can still attack and use skills if their target is within range.

Basically, most attacks that cause these five status effects have a number called a "Strength" associated with them. If the Strength of the effect is higher than your opponent's Resistance to that effect, then they will be hit by it!

For example, Tier 1 Lupin characters have a skill called "Love's Snare" that causes a Strength 40 Paralyze effect at Rank 1. If your target's Paralyze Resistance is less than 40, it will hit them every time. If their Paralyze Resistance is more than 40, it will fail every time.

If you're getting hit with a certain status effect a lot, you might want to increase your Resistance to it. These Resistances can be increased through gear (either through the base stats on certain celestial-quality gear and rings, or by Imbuing Resistances onto your existing gear) or through the use of certain skills.

Keep in mind that there are some skills that will cause these status effects regardless of your Resistance to them. These skills will generally state "ignores Resistance" in their description somewhere.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Other Status Effects:

There are a variety of other status effects that do not have Resistances, and generally just have a chance to succeed. Some skills or gear can still remove these, reduce their chances of succeeding, or grant complete immunity to them.

  • Bleed: Causes damage over time. However, not every status effect that deals damage over time will be a Bleed effect (such as the Modo's Skyseeker attack) and it is important to know the difference if you have a skill that can remove Bleed effects.

  • Slow: Reduces movement speed by a percentage that varies between each slow effect.

  • Reduced Stats: Many attacks can reduce attributes other than Attack Power, including (but not limited to) Defense, Accuracy, and Resistances. Some factions even have combos where they can reduce your Resistances with one skill so that they can hit you with a different status effect!

  • Disarm: Removes the Attack Power bonus granted by the equipped weapon.

  • Fasting: Prevents the use of Health or Spirit potions. Also translated as "Dieting" in some places.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Buff/Debuff Icons:

These are the names of the buffs/debuffs you'll see players with. They do not necessarily tell you the effect when hovering the mouse over them.

  • Sky Seeker Toxin Bleed effect of sky seeker will do damage proportional to max hp, it not considered as a bleed and can be removed through negative status effect skills

  • Scarab Injury Bleed effect of Snake Bind will do damage over time

  • Penetrated Target's Defense continuously decreased

  • Chaotic Curse Damage done to target increases by x% for y seconds

  • Heretical Curse Target's skill damage reduced by x% for y seconds

  • Spirit Burn Gradually decreases target's spirit over time

  • Injured Target takes some additional damage per hit when attacked

  • Toughen Increases defence by % of your base defence

  • Slam Increase AP by % of your AP

  • Increased Health Increases your hp by %

  • Increased Spirit Increases ur sp by %

  • Doomed Curse Target's Critnull reduced by x% for y seconds

  • Thunder Curse Target's Critshield reduced by x% for y seconds

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is all taken directly from the Wiki. Feel free to add to it if you wish. Let's make sure we can preserve as much as possible before they shut that down as well.

Guides / Farming Efficiently
July 07, 2018, 03:59:26 pm
So I heard you liked to farm/grind your way to the top with Grade 10 Provisions in Shura. That's cool! And I bet you sat there at night, with a worried face thinking "Am I going to have enough space to farm all night and pic up everything I possibly can?" Don't worry, so have others.

I'm here to help. This guide is taken from another guide from another user. Which was good, but this one will be a little easier to follow if you like pictures rather than a bunch of text.

So let's get into things...

The best thing to do at the start, especially when you have a few thousand Green Jades from Voting on staying Online is to head over to the Online Webstore which is located in your Account Panel via the website. (Press Account and then Green Jade Shop on the left)

After that it's simple, head over to the "OTHER" tab and then go on the sub-tab which is labelled "Pet Aid" (shown below) and buy two (2) Sunray Brooch items as you will need two (2) of them per six (6) slots of space.

So once you have that, where do you go? Well, you go to Sunstream and talk to Pet Tamer Totto, he's the cute boy to the far left of the Mailbox. You want to look for the "Expand Provisions Bag" quest once you talk to him, so acquire that and make sure you have the two (2) Sunray's on you to complete it.

After completing the quest and being happy with yourself, you'll see that you have unlocked 6 Provisions slots for your pet to auto grab from your bag (as long as you tick that little box!)

Another good idea is to buy Storage expansion items in the "AID" Tab under the sub-tab labelled "Storage", this allows you to maximise your own bag, as well as that of your pets. This gives you a huge advantage and you can really go afk for a few days without needing to worry about space. Maxed out the pet bag has a capacity of 144 I believe and your own has a capacity of 252.

Most bag slots at the start will unlock per a certain level, which stops at level 105 with the first "page" unlocked. So you'll probably have to expand both bags in order to make everything go smoothly.

I hope this guide was helpful and I wish you all good luck and happy farming/grinding!

Suggestions / Increase Stack Size
July 05, 2018, 12:50:14 pm
Hey all. Maybe you're like me and like to sell or hand in all the Grade 10 Provisions but just don't have enough bag space for a full nights grind/farm, or even a full day at work, which, yes, even with a full bag expansion can still be hard depending on how fast and where you are grinding/farming.

The Grade 10 Provisions are;

- Frenzfume Wood
- Felord Red Gold
- Soulsnatcher Herb
- Heavenshroud Jade

They all currently stack to 50, which is still good. But, would you guys agree that increasing the stack size would help a little? Especially those that cannot afford a whole bag expansion, which will also give them a calm mind knowing they'll have enough space?

Thanks all for taking the time to read this small suggestion and don't forget to vote on the Website and have fun in game!! See you there  8)

Guides / Referral Programme
July 02, 2018, 11:56:52 am
So you want to refer a friend? That's cool! You get rewarded for that here at Jade Dynasty Reborn. Just head over to your Account on the main website, then head down to the "Referral" menu shown below;

And don't forget to share your referral link with your friend, family member, clan member, or who ever else you want to share it with.

Once you've done that, you'll notice that the "Current count" on mine says 0. That will go up once the referral of yours has been online for 48 hours (2 days).

Then what?
Well, then you can head over back to the Marketplace and go under the "Packs" menu in the first tab and you'll be greeted by this window;

As you can see, you need an amount for certain packs. The first needs you to refer one (1) person. The next needs three (3) and then five (5). Also, remember, the more friends you refer to the server, the more Green Jades you will earn. 3,000 GJ per account to be exact. Please do however remember that you can only have two (2) accounts which you CAN NOT refer yourself on.

You used to be able to use one link for your alternative account. However, that has since been changed and you are no longer able to do so.

For those that do not know how to get their Induction ID, please read on!

To get your Induction ID, all you need is to be level 60 and then go to Sunstream (New Main City to some) and go up to where the Clan and Alliance Masters are, then, to the East of them, you'll see the Territory Agent Evan as well as the Induction Agent. Press on him, which will open the following window;

after that, all you have to do is "Copy ID" from this window (Note: Some users will disconnect on pressing "Copy ID", so "Copy Info" does the same thing, just open Notepad and extract the ID from that to prevent a crash);

I hope this has helped somewhat and I wish you all a nice day!

For anyone interested, here is my link from the picture as well as my Induction ID again;
